EmbroidMe of Philadelphia Sponsors National Lemonade Day to Help Raise Funds for Childhood Cancer Research
Philadelphia PA – June 3, 2008 - EmbroidMe of Philadelphia, a leading full-service embroidery, screen printing and promotional advertising center, has become the official shirt sponsor for The 5th Annual Alex’s Lemonade Stand to support National Lemonade Day and raise funds for childhood cancer research.
EmbroidMe of Philadelphia has donated the collection of shirts for all volunteers of this year’s lemonade stand which will be held on June 7 from 11AM to 3PM at 706 Livezey Lane in the Roxborough area of Philadelphia, and will be hosted by the Coppinger Family.
Lemonade Days is a three day national event that emerged out of Alexandra “Alex” Scott’s front yard five years ago, and is held yearly over the same June weekend to honor her memory. Throughout the three days, thousands of Alex’s lemonade stands are hosted across the county, with the volunteers able to raise over $1 million for childhood cancer research. Last year, the Coppinger Family lemonade stand ranked in the top 100 out of 4000 nationwide. This year’s goal is to increase the contribution and continue to raise additional awareness.
Since opening in 2005, EmbroidMe has consistently served a wide range of both individual and corporate consumers. In addition to The Alex’s Lemonade Stand, EmbroidMe of Philadelphia has welcomed such local clients as: The Adam Conboy Memorial fund (Operation Bedding), Morris Arboretum of The University of Pennsylvania, Saint Joseph’s University, Philadelphia University, Gwynedd Mercy College and national client, Red Bull Energy Drink.
“I believe it is your duty as a business owner within your community to always remember to give back,” said Bill Weissman, owner of EmbroidMe of Philadelphia. “Any effort that helps in bringing needed awareness to the health and care of children is always at the forefront of concern, and it is our privilege to contribute to this worthwhile cause.”
